About me

Hi, I’m Cat! The owner, baker, designer, marketer and accountant of Cat’s Basement Bakery (the joys of owning your own business). Cat’s Basement Bakery was born at my first little house in Rodley, Leeds, where the kitchen was in the basement and my love for baking began to flourish. I started making cakes for friends and family’s birthday then slowly birthdays turned into weddings and friends and family turned into friends of friends and friends of family so I decided to turn my hobby into a small business. I am now located in Alwoodley (LS17), Leeds, and live with my husband, son and two dogs. I am fully insured, registered as a food business with Leeds City Council and have my Food Hygiene Level 2 and 3 qualifications.

What I Do

I like to think I’m not just a baker but a cake designer as well. I LOVE turning your ideas and themes into a new cake design. To help you visualise the cake design, I provide a sketch with my proposal and options to suit a wide range of budgets.
